Over 600 injuries per day result from slips and falls, in fact about 20% of all occupational accidents involve slips, trips and falls. With slips, trips and falls being the second leading cause of work-related deaths and the third leading cause of disabling work injuries, it is critical to teach workers slips, trips and falls prevention. This safety video trains workers by providing the following information:
- Five re-enactments of common slips and fall cases to show the viewer how our actions and attitudes are crucial in preventing fall injuries
- Slips, trips and fall hazards: wet floor, extension cord across a stairway, fluid spill, open file drawer, climbing on shelves and other scenarios
- Slips and falls are just as much a matter of mental mistakes as they are physical hazards
